A Cup of Eau Claire

The campus ministry that is University Lutheran Church sits on the banks of the Chippewa River, just around the bend from the confluence where it is joined by the Eau Claire River. This water flows past us every day. In our city it provides water for refreshment, cleansing, recreation, and, notably, beer brewing. We cross the rivers over bridges, on foot, bicycle, scooter, or car, several times a day. This water is an integral part of life in Eau Claire. In Matthew 10:42, Jesus says, “   And if you give even a cup of cold water to one of the least of my followers, you will surely be rewarded.” (NLT) This is my hope for this blog, that it will be a little bit of something helpful, refreshing, a gift for the reader. I will post Bible study helps, sermons, recipes, poems, reflections on life around us here on campus, and I hope to have other contributors from the ministry as well.
